ABOUT US
2018
Derek Wilson was working as Head of Sustainability at Transport for London (TfL) where he oversaw environmental sustainability, social impact, and economic development across a £15 Billion portfolio of property developments and assets.
How it started
2019
Derek and his team pioneered a new approach to the use of data in planning, design, and construction: the TfL Sustainable Development Framework. This approach led to a >50% reduction in carbon emissions across TfL’s development projects, among other sustainability impacts.
2021
In 2021 TfL was ranked the United Kingdom’s most sustainable diversified developer by GRESB, scoring 93/100 and achieving national sector leader status. By 2022, TfL was ranked Europe’s most sustainable diversified developer by GRESB, scoring 97/100 and achieving regional sector leader status.
2023
Derek launched Synergetic to bring this metric-based, data-driven approach to driving sustainability impact to the wider market with a highly specialised consultancy offering and scalable digital tools.
2022: First in Europe among diversified development companies with a score of 97/100.
